FAQ's
Is SIB affiliated to any agency ?
SIB is not an institute in higher education and we do not provide degrees such as MBA, B.Com, engineering etc. SIB is a career oriented training institute. Candidates who join SIB have already completed their respective qualifications and are typically looking to enter the investment banking or equity research fields. Therefore, there is no need for SIB to be affiliated to any agency as we are an “independent” training institute.
Is SIB recognized ?
SIB is the only training institute in the world that specializes in investment banking and equity research. The quality of our training can be gauged from the fact that major global banks, domestic investment banks and financial services companies have already hired from SIB and continue to do so. Our credibility can be assessed by the quality of our placements. For more details please see the
Placements section.
What career options will SIB give candidates ?
SIB’s courses will equip candidates to work at the very forefront of investment banking (either in M&A or corporate finance roles) or in equity research. A career in these fields is intellectually stimulating and financially rewarding at the same time.
What is a career in mainstream finance like ?
A career in mainstream finance is a life style choice as work hours can be quite long. Candidates are therefore advised to carefully think before applying and not be lured by the glamour quotient of investment banking / mainstream finance. From the inside, it is pure hard work! Therefore make sure that this is something you are genuinely passionate about.
What are the minimum academic qualifications needed ?
Full time course: High first class at SSC (Class 10) and HSC (Class 12) level and a first class from a good institute in higher education. For more details please see the
