My first target was to switch my career from marketing to finance. Secondly, I wanted entry level analyst jobs in mainstream finance. I was introduced to the field of Investment Banking during my entrepreneurship days. I was thinking of pursuing a MBA to switch over from IT to IB. In spite of receiving admissions into some top universities in the world, the recent economic crisis made me think twice. I was looking for short term courses in financial modeling and valuation to get a toehold in Investment Banking and gain experience in the industry. I found the SIB website while surfing the net. On speaking further with the faculty and the alumni of SIB, I was convinced that SIB could give me a break into investment banking.

As a career changer, I was always going to find breaking into investment banking difficult even with an MBA. After pursuing the course at SIB, I had a grasp of the basics of finance and the confidence to excel as an Investment Banking analyst/associate. And now when I look back, I strongly feel that I made a right decision by joining SIB.
