Charandeep Singh
Charandeep is presently the Managing Director of Empire Capital, a financial services entity engaged in both ultra HNI advisory services and in proprietary trading activities across liquid markets (Asian equities, government debt markets, and global commodity markets). Charandeep was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers India Investment Banking where he was responsible for the firm's financial services investment banking industry practice. Charandeep first joined Lehman Brothers in 1999 as an Analyst working in the firm's Global Communications and Media group. In 2002, Charandeep joined the firm's Global Leveraged Finance group based in New York and London, where he worked until 2005. Charandeep received a Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1999 and received his MSc in Finance from the London Business School in 2002.
Aditya Bindal
Aditya Bindal is a Vice President of Morgan Stanley Private Equity and is based in London. Aditya joined Morgan Stanley in 2001 working in the Firm's Private Equity Group as part of the Princes Gate Investors Team, and the Mergers and Acquisitions Group within the Firm's Investment Banking Division. Aditya rejoined the Private Equity Group in 2007, After graduate school. Previously, he worked with affiliates of the Soros funds where he was involved in the origination and execution of investment and distressed buyout opportunities in Germany, Italy, Russia and Poland. Aditya earned a B.Sc (Hons) from the University of York and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Shivram Ayyagari
Shivram Ayyagari is a member of the investment team at Milestone Religare Investment Advisors and is based in Mumbai. He joined Milestone in 2007 and was instrumental in the structuring of and fundraising for multiple private equity funds, including India's first yield driven real estate fund. With Milestone Religare he has invested in the healthcare sector in Healthcare Global Enterprises (a super-specialty oncology care chain) and in education companies Resonance Eduventures (an IIT-JEE/engineering entrance preparation player), IMS Learning Resources (an MBA entrance preparation player) . Shivram completed his engineering from MIT, Manipal and his M.B.A from IIM, Ahmedabad.
Mark Straub
Mark is a member of the fund management team for Draper Fisher Jurvetson’s Growth Fund, part of DFJ’s global venture capital network with $5.5 billion under management and a range of funds located in 33 cities around the world. Prior to joining DFJ, Mark worked for Lok Capital, a microfinance venture capital fund based in New Delhi, investing in financial services companies serving ‘bottom-of-the-pyramid’ clients across India. At Lok, he helped lead an investment in one of India’s largest microfinance companies, Spandana Sphoorty Innovative Financial Services, serving roughly a million clients in the country’s southern states. Mark began his career in investment banking, as an analyst with Banc of America Securities in San Francisco, providing corporate finance and M&A advisory to public and private technology companies. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, with concentrations in finance and foreign affairs
